I think along with many other oculus…
I think along with many other oculus users the tracking has gone wrong on my headset and it can't find the floor any more. I have sent a couple of support tickets but no answer from them so now it's just so much plastic. Even the factory reset doesn't work so I have nowhere to go really. I would probably hold off on buying one of these and get one of the more premium brands in the first place where they give proper support and the product is designed for long term use. It's a pain as well because I have a number of Oculus games I can't use any more....total waste of money overall.

suspended my account
Oculus/meta/Facebook suspended my account because they thought that I was not “old enough”. They then threatened to permanently disable my account if I didn’t send them photos of my drivers license or passport. They can basically brick your Oculus anytime they want. I’m way past 40 and I don’t like having my stupid games held hostage just so that meta/oculus/Facebook can steal more information from me. Garbage company. I highly don’t recommend you sign up with or buy anything from them.

My son's left controller stopped…
My son's left controller stopped working. It was his fault he bashed them together during a rather lively game of gorilla tag. We ordered a new one through the official website, delivery date 10/5/23. All good. Or so I thought. Within 5 minutes of the transaction I received an email telling me the transaction had been cancelled. Problem is they already took the ÂŁ69.99 payment from my bank. The company is now telling me the amount taken is ÂŁ0.00 and even after sending them screenshots and transaction I.D they are going in circles with different staff emailing me excuse after excuse. One tells me no money has been paid the next is admitting a fault on their end and asking for more proof before they refund. I will be contacting my bank this afternoon once back in the UK and reporting it as fraud. I will get my money back but I will most certainly not be using this company again. I will buy a second hand controller from our local Games centre and once the headset dies I will buy my son any other gaming console he likes but not the oculus. No way. Absolute garbage of a company who obviously insists their employees pass a test to work there which proves their incompetence before they are hired. Fuming.

Absolute piece of đź’©. Right controller stopped working and they refuse to replace unless you send to a friend in America whom can then recieve replacement for you and send back to you because apparently sending to them direct in the uk for them to then send to America is too much confusion. As a buyer it is not our responsibility of where the seller purchased the goods from so this should not even be an issue. What an absolute waste of ÂŁ500+ never mind the extras on top

Minor issues but great games and platform with built in mic and screen recorder!
Ok, I'm going to be completely honest about this one, oculus friend requests suck. But don't have that fool you, because the oculus has some cool games on it too! A nice example of this could be echo vr or gorilla tag. Echo Vr is sports in vr while your in space with low gravity and rocket boosters. While echo has a more mature audience and people in voice chat gorilla tag is different. Maybe the most popular game on the oculus gorilla tag is filled with little kids on voice chat and teenagers. Another good game is Pavlov shack vr which is like valorant or csgo in vr. The oculus is a great piece of technology and worth investing in. Battery Issues
If you're trying to get your VR fixed good luck. The people who work support for Meta are garbage and need to be fired or be properly trained. They ask you the same questions over and over again yet don't even help you in the end. I need my Quest 2 to be fixed due to having some battery related issues yet they won't let me request my VR be fixed even though on the website it said it could be returned. Horrible experience!

Oculus Sucks
This question asks how this company could improve but I do not think it can. I do not think I have ever had a worse experience with a company than oculus. I do not even know where to begin. The products suck and barely work, the software runs worse than deleted apps, and the customer service is non-existent. I seriously cannot name a single good thing about Oculus/Meta.

Oculus is sh!t
Oculus is sh!t. Bought 2 devices. First one locked up on the boot screen and sent back which they never returned. Second device purchased was in the middle of a game of golf+ and the whole system crashes. Tracking was lost. Rebooted the device, nothing. Factory reset the device, no picture whatsoever. Blank screen. DO NOT PURCHASE. NEITHER DEVICE LASTED 4 MONTHS BEFORE HAVING SOFTWARE RUIN THE SYSTEM. forget customer support they are worse than a mobile phone insurance company.

Not a good software.
The application acts like the only reason you have a computer is to use it with your VR headset. It's a whole 9GB, intrusive and has limited settings. It does what you need it to do, but it also does a whole lot of stuff you don't need it to do either. such as: -muting all audio, (presumably to stream audio to a headset that isn't supposed to be connected) -opening itself whenever you open almost ANY other application with no way to turn its automatic opening off - turning on vr gameplay as if you are playing with a vr when you're not (so you literally have to uninstall the app when not going to play a game with your vr) - can't be disabled in any way, shape or form besides uninstall

Doesn't work, no help.
Headset won't link to computer properly, support team are unhelpful and completely useless! Passing me from one person to the next, none of which seemed to even know the day, let alone know how to fix there own connection issue!! I total waste of ÂŁ400!!

Customer service is hellish
Sadly my experience is on a par with many others here. My headset was faulty, and in warranty. Following the instructions I returned the oculus in its original packaging. I assumed I needed to return everything and they would send a new one to replace it. I received a replacement headset only. I’ve contacted them and asked them to send the controllers, and although quick to respond to my emails, no real updates here. It’s been weeks and I still have no idea when I’ll get them. Really expected better from Meta

RMAed my controller over a month ago - No Update
I have created an account just to write this review! RMAed my controller over a month ago. They have recieved it back but i have had no update. When i contract them all i get back is "awaiting a reponse from the logistics department" Ive dealt with some bad customer support in my time, but this is the worse experience ive ever had. I wish i just returned my controller to the store. META SUPPORT IS AWFUL

Bought it for my son last Christmas. Honestly it’s an absolute nightmare! Don’t buy it, buy an Xbox X or PS5 instead. Spend days downloading a game for it reset and start the download process all over again. For example, most recent he’s been trying to download Medal of Honour for 10 days! Frustrating is understatement. They take your money when the product isn’t working right. Avoid!

I would give them 0 stars if possible…
I would give them 0 stars if possible terrible support and constant lies. Telling me that the engineering department is working on issue and it's been a month since the original device malfunctioned and they sent me another headset that will not pair. constant back and forth with META and still no resolution. After looking at other reviews it appears that this experience is the status quo for them. Looks like i will not be receiving a refund or getting a working device. Way to underwhelm META.

This is the worst company ever
This is the worst company ever. Husband purchased brand new headset and then hand controllers failed to work. Contacted them who acknowledged there is an issue that their engineers are working on. Sent me a refurbished item out which had no volume and still didn't work with controllers. Sent them my receipt and all the various codes ect they requested. They sent replacement ina plain brown box keeping my original new box. I still have no working equipment and have asked for new replacement or refund. Avoid at all costs
